T’ lisc e t’ focu

T’ lisc e t’ focu

Was  played preferably in summer. When it is hot and the evening brings a  little refreshment . Boys were out playing late, because there was no desire to go to sleep.

They can play very easy without having  anything to buy in thr shop. There was no tool, there was nothing to have only enjoy to have more fun. And was possible to play anywhere without  looking for special playground suitable. Indeed, it was  better too play in the alleys of the old town.

The number of players was not important. Once they  agree, the “base” is established which is usually the trunk of a tree or a pillar or even a piece of wall, Then we put ourselves all in a circle and pull the touch. The fingers of each were counted and the sum was made. Then they count from those who counted your fingers, pointing with your finger, progressively, clockwise, all the companions until they reach the sum number and then indicate the partner who was designated. He was  the “hunter” and all the others are the “prey”. The prey runs away and goes into hiding. The hunter must protect the base and the prey must try to reach it without being seen. If the hunter sees a prey and reaches it and touches it he says: “t’focu” and immediately the prey that has been touched stops where it was and becomes a statue of salt. The hunt continues and the preys try in every way to reach the “base” without being seen by the “cacciotere and without therefore being touched. If one of the prey touches the “base without being touched by the” hunter “then it cries” free all “and all the preys already captured” thaw “and run to hide again. A free “prey” can also “thaw” a “frozen” companion if he can touch it and shout “smooth” without getting caught by the hunter.

The game ends when the hunter manages to freeze all the “preys”.  Otherwise the game continues to infinity with alternating events.

A very common strategy was one in which a “prey” acts as a bait and tries to approach the base, but when the hunter sees it he tries to reach it and was drawn away from the base chasing the “prey”. At that point someone who was hidden near the base, taking advantage of the hunter’s temporary absence touches it and shouts: “Everyone free!” “And the game starts all over again. We spent the most beautiful evenings of our childhood playing “t’ lisc e t’focu ”. Beautiful game of strategy skill and many wild races.
